Bulldog breeders, mainly for English, are tough. Stay away from most of the ones in NY. We got one from a pet store years ago (yeah yeah, I know) and we almost lost her due to pneumonia as a pup. Once that was cleared up she was great, lived to be 11 1/2.
Wife also says say with the Frenchie. And I'm fine with that. I just punch in "Bulldog" and see what is listed.

Funny you mention NY. I'd say 90% of the listings are there. Someone tried to sell me a 6wk old Pug mix. No shots. No paperwork. Nothing. Sketchy as hell. All the NY ones are like that. I'm >||< THIS close to ditching CL. After texting people yesterday, I've had the same number text me "1500" over and over again. I've said no thanks twice now and they just keep texting me "1500". About every 10 or 20 minutes. This weekend I'll bang out a few adoption applications. Just get our name in a hat. If it takes two years for us to find a pup, so be it. I'm really shooting for a Pug though.
