Very good advice.

I would add two things: 1. Confirm dimensions, especially of walkways. When I had my driveway paved, I ok'd "standard width," which I think is 30" or something and wish I'd gone wider.

2. Research binder and top coats, etc. My brother had a much finer top coat applied to his driveway, and it's holding up much better than mine that was just the one layer.
