Question st.Joan of Arc Church

I remember little about the day and date the st, Joan Of Arc church burned. I think it started between the two roofs. The new pastor wanted to air condition the church because In summer the church was very hot. During the homely the two big fans at the front of the church were turned off. Everyone agreed it was a good idea. While the installers were working a spark from a welders torch entered between the double roofs, but it went unnoticed. It smouldered all night until early the next morning. Alton had a volunteer fire department, so the first company on the scene was Gilford. The parishioners raised a lot of money to rebuild the church. In the interim a church on Main St. offered their church for Catholic services. But the Bishop had a better idea. He sold St. Cecillias in wolflborrow and the lot in Alton along with the money that was collected to rebuild the church, and built a new church on the Alton Wolfborrow town line and named it St. Catherine Deraxel.
