As many have said, not much you can do about it.
Mine started in 1968. Probably my exposure to loud noises? My M-60 machine gun? A 50 caliber machine gun 7 feet away from me? The 90mm main gun of nearby tanks? 155mm shells landing close by? Jets dropping ordinance nearby? M-79s?
Just do your best to ignore it...
