Plus or minus a few weeks, I was at the Boston Tea Party seeing Doctor John, with opening act The Allman Brothers, including Duane, Berry, Gregg, Dicky, Jaimoe and Butch. Honking driving blues, some cool time signatures, Duane closing his eyes an wailing on a solo here and there, hippies enjoying it all. 1969, very nice!
