My husband said today was his best Veteran's Day ever, here in Wolfeboro.

We visited the field of flags at Brewster field where over 1,000 flags with names had been 'planted' by the women of our local chapter of the DAR- it was very moving to see not only his name, but the names of family members and others we know. The field will be lit for another 6 days.
Then, we attended the VD program at the Wright Museum which had featured speakers, film clips and a crowd filled with veterans that were asked to stand up when their branch's song was played.
Afterwards, we enjoyed a free car wash at the town's car wash in Clark Plaza. During lunch, people came up to him to thank him for his service - that never happened in our previous hometown. Several area restaurants are offering free dinners as well.

NH has been rated the most patriotic state, and we are so grateful to live here year round and feel the appreciation from others. Happy Veteran's Day
