Not difficult so much as punitive—the few times I needed to dock on the wharf finger (the public used to be able to use one of the inside, regular docks) it was impossible to use bumpers to keep the boat and ski from rubbing hard against the oversized pylons and/or concrete. They also have steel cables wrapped around them that would catch the rub rail when it floated up and down. It's also a sizable step from the boat to the land because of their thickness.

I may have been doing it wrong, but I noticed others struggling each time we've been, too.
