They make a less expensive 1.5A one, but both of these are very flexible: 6 and 12 volt; trickle or fast charge; gel, AGM, and standard battery charging; and clips or rings. I might suggest buying one better charger and just moving it over every month.

I use this for my trolling motor, tractor, golf cart, and jetski batteries.

An alternative was mentioned above in the Battery Tender, which you can get for $35 or so, but only maintains.

In either case, I think anything related to battery chargers is worth spending a couple bucks more on for a quality unit.
