I believe good leaders respond to changing situations, not just make a plan and stick to it no matter what. Much of the current situation status is unknown and unknowable. It is evolving. Further, even though it will have significant business impacts, business is NOT the foremost concern at the moment. I think that's a reasonable thing to do.
