I believe there is a leash law in Meredith... so nobody's dog should be out running around. At any rate, I hope you got the particulars (name, license #, etc) of the rude dog owner... because you should sue her! Can she prove her dogs are up to date on rabies vaccinations? I have a friend whose dog bit a person familiar to the dog, not a stranger ... not in Meredith, but Moultonboro. The fellow had a more significant bite, because it did draw blood. He had to go to ER, get shots, the bite got infected anyway, etc etc. My friends paid for all expenses, but they are extremely lucky the bitten fellow didn't sue them. The dog must now and forever wear a muzzle that allows dog to drink water, but cannot bite-even when dog is on home property (which is where incident occurred originally). I would freak if a dog bit me or a child!!! Totally unacceptable behavior.
