Bird droppings rinse right off! Pine pitch, I was able to remove with my fingernails. Grease and tar come right off but gets nasty on the microfiber cloth. Microfiber is cheap. About .25 on sale at Harbor Freight. I buy by the bundle!
Detail spray goes a long way. So spend a little extra money. It actually add a little 'pop' to the finish! Attached is a 2005 MB and 2014 allroad. Both treated and look showroom!
