Default Trail work idea

Many of the local high schools have community service requirements for students. My son is a freshman and has to do 5 hours of community service plus school based service.

Late this summer, his football team cleared a cross country path through the woods for the cross sountry team to complete their school based community service. They cut down trees (with some supervision) cut brush, dug out rocks, filled in holes and did pretty much what you would do to clean up a snowmobile path.

He asked his advisor and they have approved work on snowmobile trails as community service. We'll be doing that this fall. (As soon as we see a Meredith Sno-streaker work party)

With a little advertisement to some of the local schools, I wonder if we could get a legion of kids out helping on the trails. With some young muscle and some old brains , we could get pretty much done.
