The roads were horrendous all day today. I have never seen them this bad. RT 109 looks like it might have had one pass done on it today as there was no snow bank on the side of the road at all at 4pm on my way home from work. Side streets in Wolfeboro were terrible. This wet type snow is very dangerous as can be seen by the condition of poor old Big Blue. That wet layer under the snow is like ice. Even with my 4x4 drive it was slick and I could feel my truck, (with snow tires) slipping around under me. Slow speeds, can make all the difference between getting there....or not. Sadly I think there were many Big Blues today.....
So what you are saying is that snow tires were needed, even though in your truck with snow tires you were slipping and sliding. Yeah, OK.

BTW, you can tell by the pic that those are not snow tires?
