Maxum’s right on all points. If you are on foot, you can park at Cattle Landing and walk back to the left to the first road/driveway on the shore side. It’s a bit of a slope down to the ice, but that area is clear of ice-eaters and decent access when I hike out in the winter.

You could get a sled on there as well.
