You know there is no video of the collisons. Is possible for the pickup truck to avoid a collision while the long, heavy trailer crossed the center line because it would swing to the left on a different turning radius than the pickup turning to the right. An unloaded trailer can wander off track if its wheels are not in alignment or have low air pressure on one side, or something.
