I think you meant your friend IS a Marine who served in Vietnam, and always will be!! I can really appreciate that story. That is really cool. As a Marine myself, I know first hand that the Marine Corps is ALWAYS the last of the services to get the latest, greatest equipment, so I can see how they are still burning the shi***** to this day!!! Although, when something works as it should, why change it...??? Kinda like, if it aint broke, don't fix it.
