Wow! I'm about five miles south of Greenes Corner and heard and felt it clearly. The house shook and it even woke the dog. There was another, much smaller boom about 30 minutes later. I had it figured for an earthquake or the ice cracking due to the water level rising.
UPDATE: The
Union Leader has an article about it, saying "A Linda's Way summer home was leveled in an explosion and fire". That is off the north side of RT 25, just east of Fox Hollow Road. The article goes on to say it was reported at 2:45, a half-hour before the big boom.
