Maybe I missed it but... why do you want to put your boat in a marina and "share" the mooring?
I seems to me that, depending on the bylaws of your association, once you decide to leave the mooring it should be offered to the first person on the wait list.
Are you being offered an incentive to work outside of the waitlist order?
