As you come down 290, instead of taking 495N, go straight (towards Hudson/Marlboro), approximately 1 mile -- at the second set of traffic lites is a "99 Resturaunt" & a across the street is local Italian place called "Checkerboards". The later is VERY kid friendly, menu spans the gammit from Pizza, pasta, & full meals (sort of a Guisseppe's atmosphere and menu).
On a different note -- Why do you trudge up to Rte 93, when Rte 3/ Everett Tnpke is sooooo much easier (and faster) -- p.s..... we make the trip often and have compared both options!!
