Websattwinni, we go up Rt. 3 in Lowell and end up saving several miles vs. going all the way to I-93. Rt. 3 turns into I-293, and connects with 93 at the Hooksett tolls. Off Rt. 3 at exit 6 in Nashua or Hollis is Bugaboo Creek, which doesn't end up being much more expensive than cracker barrel, but a little different atmosphere with stuffed animals (the real kind) instead of old tools on the walls.

Also, at exit 3A off I-84 in Mass is another Cracker Barrel which we often use going to and from the lake.
