Very sad.

The newspaper article refers to death by "hypothermia," but that seems to be a misnomer.

The correct terms: "cold shock" and "swimming failure."

I wondered why a good swimmer couldn't swim 100 feet or so to safety: now I know.

Still, very tragic.
