A House committee yesterday was told that proposed changes to a bill relaxing the restrictions to the current state shoreland protection law do not go far enough to allow waterfront property owners to maintain and make minor adjustments to their own land.

The committee expects to review whether to adjust the bill and recommend whether the full House should pass it by April 30.
