Default Actually...

I too, found it a bit stange. When we had lunch there, the two woman in our group of four got the lobster rolls (they were great) and said, "let's grab an order of fried clams for the table, so we can all try them" but I was informed the place did not offer an "order of fried clams".
VitaBene...I must say, it is not at all unusual for a seafood restaurant to offer clams/ scallops/ strips/ chix fingers as ala carte items...although at such places they are refered to as "boxes" "sides" "pints" . If fact, I would go so far as to say it is unusual for a seafood place to not offer it this way.
I was shocked when I asked for an order of clams after placing a $55 lunch order and was told "we don't offer that". I just thought..."you don't want to sell me more of your product?" oh well...
I still like the place very much.
