I would never even consider the "old" Blue Jay to be an eyesore. It was tradition, history, family and fun. My kids (modern to the end) thought it was the best mini-golf around because there were no gimmicks like the new ones have now and they have played them all.

Their greatest challenge each summer was to get a hole in one on that last hole. My niece (the worst mini-golfer EVER) did it and my dad (83) did it, too. They have gotten holds-in-one and won free games in Wolfeboro and even at Pirates' Cove, but only once in the Bay. My youngest is down right mad that he won't have another chance at it.

I will miss your parents, Mark. We used to chat while my kids played. We didn't know each others names, but they always remembered me and my boys.
