This was our first weekend back on the lake. I dropped the first boat in the water on Friday and brought the troops up on Saturday for the night. We brought a bunch of people up so the cleanup and setup went rather quickly.
It was definitely chilly with the wind coming off the lake but well worth it. The camp fire was not enough to keep us warm in the evening so we mainly stayed inside where the fireplace was a bit more comfortable. Lots of food, drinks, card games and conversation.
Sunday was rather raw, no fishing for the kids which made my daughter quite angry. Her new "rocket rod" will have to wait one more week. One more weekend of commitments and we will be back to staying 3+ nights a week.
It felt SOOOO good to be back!
Note to self: Next time don't forget the power cords for the Directv boxes, otherwise you may face a mutiny from the underage crew!
