One point is that if you are let's say defending cats and someone says "don't they taste like chicken" you KNOW that is a joke. Snakes on the other hand get abused since most people are terrified of them for so many reasons; most of these snake fears are based on misinformation and tall tales.
As far as me doing more harm than good you are way off base there but it is an easy thing to say and the real good comes to education where I am top of the heap. We do many public reptile shows which are quite popular. Coming here is just my version of beating the bushes and hoping that there is something still out there. I might as well be looking for Wolves!
I may not always play nice in a sandbox of angry babies but I will still visit them.
As far as being a tree hugger or animal right's freak I am not. I do love animals and such but I understand there is a reality to all of this, all I try to do is slow the human impact on some of them.
