Yes, when the wind from from the NE the ice will clear away from parts of the lake.

But as of early this afternoon, a change to a north wind has blown the thick, but crumbly, ice pack straight against my dock pilings—and they are protesting loudly.

So far, just the outermost uprights have deflected against the strain, but they're left loose so they don't break off. My two circulators have no effect against this kind of ice movement and were turned off ten days ago.
