I am happy to say that the TZEDIT.EXE file from Microsoft worked like a charm on my Win98. When I got on this morning there was a notice telling me that Windows had automatically adjusted for Daylight Savings Time. I understand that Vista and recent XP systems are made to adjust automatically, while early XP and prior need a "patch". A "patch" being nothing more than a term for this TZEDIT.EXE (which you notice comes direct from Microsoft) or any other Time Zone EDITing program. All this program does is let you set your own parameters as to when you want the time changes made instead of locking you to 1st Sat in April and last Sat in Oct. Amazing how so much hoo-haa is given to such a simple issue. My Computer Geek is still rolling on the floor laughing about the "snowball effect" thing.
