Water snakes are not really a problem,since they are not poisonous and flee at the sight of humans.Actually,they can be useful.We have a good sized one every year that resides in a small outcropping of rocks near the beach.We don't mind an occasional boat rafting off shore,but sometimes (rarely) they swim in to the beach.All I have to do is walk over to the right of the rocks and flush my lil' buddy out in their direction....and off they go....one time dragging the anchor.Kinda fun
