Default Not a license but who cares?

As long as you took the test before December 31, 2006, your card is good in NH.

Due to the possibility of cheating NH has decided to only recognise "Safety Certificates" issued after a proctorred exam. This law took effect for cards issued this year. It is possible that the 'grandfatherred' status may be revoked in the future but I doubt it and there will be plenty of notice.

Some other states may have similiar restrictions on the card but I dont know which ones they are. That information is probably buried somewhere on the site you obtained your certificate from.

These cards are currently issued by something like 35 states and the internet. Some states may allow them to be issued through organisations like USCG Auxilliary or US Power Squadrons. Listing the 'source' was probably intended as a security feature so the validity of the card can be checked if neccessary.

Scan down this forum. These certificates have gotten a good bit of discussion. You will find more details on the other threads.

Good luck!
