Arrow Lots of Concerns and Wonder...

For $75, I bought a 7-man tent from Amazon to house some youngsters. That measure runs too small for one teenager with customary appurtances. (Clothing, tools, cabinetry, water, potty, poncho, bug spray, food stores, electrical devices). However, it only takes about ten minutes to set up.

I tried it out and discovered a whole new world out there! (Many more Owls, mink running across the entry, early-rising Loons taking off right in front of me). The entry zipped-up tightly, but I'd suggest regular application with a small bar of soap (kept handy) to keep it supple.

Rain and winds weren't a factor because of its deep-woods location; however, once the fabric got soaked, heavy raindrops would "spritz" the interior.

Large dead branches hanging overhead definitely were disquieting. Hours-long rain with thunder and lightning could be terrifying. (But especially thunder!)

Another concern was roaming bears, which only became a concern years later. Bear spray would aleve such unease with these large intrusive animals.

BTW: There's also stand-up room to consider. The 7-man [pop-up] tent had about 5.5 feet of overhead. (Not bad)...
