After reading so many posts on the pros and cons of leaving real estate to the following generation(s), I couldn’t resist throwing in my 2 cents. My hope is that we will be able to leave our place to our family when the time comes. It gives us so much pleasure seeing our grandchildren enjoying life here on the lake, whether it’s the jet skis, boat, paddle boards, kayaks, grilling on the deck, or playing games, beating me or letting me win, during the evening. We have such a great time! These are great memories for us, and I am sure they feel the same way. It’s not the monetary value….it’s the unbelievable pleasure that we all have just being together. I am hoping we’ll be able to do this for them and for their mother and our daughter. Only time will tell.
