Maybe it's because I'm from only an hour and a half away, but I don't think (most of) the Lakes Region's restaurants are all that more expensive.
I can list a dozen within a few minutes of our camp in Moultonborough that are easily on par with restaurants in Nashua and northern Massachusetts.
In fact, Breeze, Alamo, Lakehouse Grille, Lemongrass, and maybe a few others are the only ones I can think of that are "pricey."
That term, though, implies a value system, right? Like, O is "expensive," but the quality is a different level.
My issue with Alamo being $35+ is that literally every other place I visit (other than, apparently, TTS) is less expensive...and, historically, Alamo's quality and quantity hasn't justified the price.
