P3,
Of course facts matter. Facts tend to get very distorted when political opinions take over.
The exchange rates obviously change quite often but it is pretty close to what I wrote. You gave the scenario of exchanging the US dollar for Canadian which you claimed 1.00 US to 1.37 CA. The exchange rate works both ways. That is pretty close to what I wrote but we can certainly use your scenario. I mentioned Canadians are more reluctant to travel to the US do to their devalued dollar. Specifically against the US dollar. In your very own example a Canadian would give 1 of their dollars and receive only 63 US cents (last I talked to my brother it was 65 cents). That is not advantageous for Canadians at this time.
You can also call the election win a plurality if you feel better. It still doesn't change the fact that the president won both the electoral college and the popular vote.
Wishing everyone a safe and fun filled summer in the Lakes Region. I'm in countdown mode and can't wait.
