thank you everyone, I was able to use a bigger screw head snap for one of the snaps, but the whole on the second one was too big even for the larger snap screw, appears this was worked on before. I can get to the back of it so I am trying to find a snap head separate of the screw so I can use a stainless pan head machine screw to put through the Snape with a fender washer and nylon lock nut on the back side of the fiberglass. I went to Lowes and Heaths (trustworthy) no such luck on the snap heads
