You make a valid point. Even our own dentist here in Bedford--who is regularly voted one of the "top dentists" in NH by NH Magazine--has told us that employer-provided dental insurance is almost a joke, as the benefit provided has not kept pace with the cost of procedures. He describes it as being analogous to a coupon at the super market...you save some money, but you're still footing the majority of the bill.
