Excellent motor! Except for when they came out the first two years. Most of the problems are in the transmission.

I have an '88 Itasca with only 80K on the clock. Bulletproof 454 and hydramatic transmission. Everything else went. No problems with motor and drive train.

Just replaced the aluminum roof with the new fiberglass material. Aluminum started to pit. Otherwise a great 'classic'!
