Wife's family has five generations with Amica. I switched due to price and service (from Nationwide). Includes home, multiple autos, trailer, boat, liability umbrella. No agents, but their 800 number is VERY responsive. They are a mutual company, owned by the policy holders. You have a choice of rates: dividend participating or "regular". Regular rates are the lowest per month. The participating rates are slightly higher per month, but at the end of the year they refund their profits. The past few years it's amounted to about a 2 month refund. They did decline to cover our lake cottage because they had no experience with NH lake cottages and had no idea how much to charge. Turns out a lot of insurers won't cover them either, although a few still do.
