That's because property values are still on the rise so it seems like a safe or secure investment. Depends how far and for how long this goes. Just keep in mind , people need gas. We don't ride bikes , motor scooters or public trans. to work like other places. Like Bush said , "We are addicted to oil" so unless you are independently wealthy the money has to come from somewhere else.
