As a year round resident of Alton, I am excited to see the progress being made on the Hannaford market. Prices will be lower that what we are used to, the produce fresher, we'll have a few more choices as to what we buy, and they'll be hiring alot of local people to staff it. And then, there's the pharmacy. It's no fun being sick and having to drive 10-15 miles to fill a prescription.
Yes, change is difficult and I do feel for McGraths, but won't it be nice to save some fuel driving miles and miles to grocery shop!
I hear it's scheduled to open in June. Should be some big "Grand Opening" sales,too.
