The insructions that came with the faucet have a number to call for any issues that arise. I suggest you call the first before disassembling the work you’ve done.

Lowes didn’t manufacture the faucet so their only recourse is to hand you a new one in exchange. That’s a new one that may also operate poorly.

Challenge the manufacturer to solve your issue and make a better product.
