A Masonic Lodge that I go to often were gifted an acorn stair lift, all they had to do was remove it. It had been installed for the giftor's parents. The Lodge was able to remove it, and modify it, with assistance from Acorn, so it could be installed in the Lodge. Came out great. According to Acorn, there's a market for used units.
