Do you know what HP the merc was on the PennYan?
I picked up something similar a while ago but it's sat in the garage awaiting it's turn on the project list. The motor is a 1954 Evenrude and I'm having problems with the pressure tank. I rebuilt it but I missed the one way valve. I know the original motor would look better, but I don't know if it works and I like the idea of something more reliable.
The boat looks like a mid fifty's kit built, the hull shape is not PennYan, but it has the front passenger seat. I did find a serial number on the floor grates. The trailer is unsafe for the road so I haven't got it wet yet. At some point I was going to start a thread on it and ask questions, but I noticed the merc on this one. We had to stay home this weekend And I hope to work on it today, at least dig it out from the corner of the garage
