Along came the Electronics. Till then WORKING on SLEDS was like working on your 55 Chevy. It was so easy. As a mater of fact there was enough room under the HOOD you could "LIVE" in it. Today it is like putting 10lb of poop in a 5lb Bag.


After taking several Polaris Sleds to "Local" Dealers for repairs and having them come back in worse shape than when they went in, I decided to try it my self. As you recommended I did go out and get the Polaris Manuals, some aftermarket manuals, a Makuni Carb manual and some specialty tools. You name it and I could fix it back in the DAY!

Yamaha was the worst engine compartment to work on back then. Every bit of space was crammed tight. I once helped a friend try to put a Manual Fuel shutoff on his Yamaha, it did not come with one from the factory. It took over an hour on loosening and taking several things out of the way before we could get to the Fuel Line to splice in the Valve and then another hour putting everything back in place.

Try SLedNH.com for some recommendation of Sled Repair also.
