...We like to take friends/relatives who haven't been on the lake before through Sally's Gut. People always seem to say that it feels like they're on a jungle ride at Disney.
The first time through can be a little apprehensive, but after that it's fine. The outlet on the Spindle Point side is wider and a little deeper than the outlet on the backside of Stonedam, which is narrow and rocks on both sides. As others have said, go slow and be vigilant and you'll be fine.
