I don't agree with the tickets, but I do think it's time for The Classic to give something back. After all it is a business after 4 years it has grown to a big event and it is clear it is making money or they wouldn't do it every year. I know it's great that it helps the local economy by bringing people up for the weekend. But they use the lake (a big part of it) which is a no charge resource and make money and if you do the math at about $500 a team times 200+ teams that's not a bad take. I am not jealous of them making money, I think it's a great idea and love to watch it. I am just thinking it would be nice to see maybe a scholarship or two or something where they helped out the local community, like the rotary does with the fishing derby . I heard from someone they did something but I can't find anything. Being the parent of some high school students we hit up the local business's a lot for money and donations and they are always GREAT about it, so I am glad this weekend is good for them. But if I am wrong hear please let me know. I have asked a few local people and they seem to feel the same way. And p.s it was Paddy's that won the open.......it's a bar in Mass. I don't think there are any Saints their....lol
