On air reporters have words the love to use, often incorrectly. They will talk about a school shooting "incident".

1. A usually minor event or condition that is subordinate to another.
But the word they screw up the most is "literally".
"When her parents found out they literally exploded!"
Wow, that must have made a mess. They use the word laterally when they really mean figuratively.
