In the State of New Hampshire, wearing your seat belt is required by law when driving any truck or bus that requires a CDL driver license, and it is a violation not to be wearing one, and one can be stopped and ticketed by the local or state police. This is because it is a federal law that is in effect in all 50-states including NH.

So, in the State of NH, while it is illegal to be driving a Mack Truck, built by Volvo of Sweden, without a seat belt, it is perfectly legal to be driving a Volvo automobile built by Gelley of China, without a seat belt.

As you may know, I believe that New Hampshire is the one and only state that does not require seat belts to be worn in a car driven by a someone 18 and older. The State of NH loses several million dollars every year in federal funds for the NH-DOT or something because of this lack of a mandatory seat belt law.
