Personally -- If your boat does not have a embossed name on it -- as you have a VHF at your disposal -- I would still seriously consider creating a "call name/sign" for transmission purposes (similar to the older CB "handles" ).

Be creative ! ....... "Hell Razor" works for me !!

Perhaps to clean it up a bit .... simply shorten it to Razor


Our daughter did a similar situation (you can often hear us on ch 69) her boat name is simply "SNAFU" ....
.......it's short for "Situation Normal All F'd Up"




(hope I do not offend anyone with the above -- but it's true)
