Trailer specialists?
Getting revved up to get back to The Lake after a couple year absence... One of the items on my check list is to have the bearings and surge brakes & actuator looked at on my trailer.
Previously the good folks who store my boat very politely declined to do this, and referred me to a local auto garage who they knew to be capable. I'll ask them again, who knows perhaps they're not quite as busy yet this year and will want the work. I would prefer to spend with them for this, but I have to admit to being 51% impressed with their sincerity and 49% mildly irritated at the decline last time.
I found a local "young guy, just starting out" and he got me all set up with what was needed at the time. I'm not sure I can find him again as its been 4-5 years now. Part of me likes to support someone like this, so I'll definitely look to see if he's in the same spot.
I'd rather not go to one of the big name marinas, as I'd expect maybe a longer wait and higher prices. Could well be wrong with that.
I know many think highly of the trailer fellow over near Winnisquam on Rt-3.
Any other recommendations on the Weirs - Gilford - PaugusBay side?
